Today, while I was on my way to Woodlands to give flute lessons, I randomly decided to think about what are some of the things people do which disturbs me, and thus I came up with this hopefully-exhaustive (it probably isn't) list:
1. Turning up late for appointments without informing me in advance. I'm fine if you are late with a valid reason and you inform me beforehand, but if you do not, be ready to be greeted with a black face. I do not relish wasting time waiting for someone who may or may not turn up.
2.Reading "self-help books which teach you how to be a millionaire". More often than not, the people I see reading such books are office-workers, most probably salaried. Seriously, if you are so naive to believe that reading such books actually help, you will never earn that million bucks and escape from your boring 9-to-5 fate.
3. Putting "Looking For: A Relationship" in your Facebook profile. Desperation reaching new heights? I know I know, to each his own, but I cannot help feeling mildly amused.
4. Blasting music on your handphone, mp3 player, whatever, to everyone around you while on public transport. It is irritating, and it does not make you cool. In fact, it makes you look like a dick.
5. You know the double seats on buses? Sitting on the outer seat on buses and not moving in to fill the empty inner seat even when it's crowded. Because your own personal convenience overrides those of the other passengers am I right, you selfish prick.
6. Patting on the seat before sitting down. If you do not do that, the cushion will come alive and swallow your juicy ass.
Probably got a few more, but I'm too sleepy to think. Bye.
"Being a pianist and musician is not a profession. It's a philosophy, a conception of life that cannot be based on good intentions or natural talent. First and foremost there must be an immense spirit of self-sacrifice." - Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli
